This has been a busy weekend.
Ashley called from Birmingham on Tuesday. She needed a photographer for her wedding on Thursday. Her groom's deployment date had been moved up, so they decided to elope before he shipped out to Iraq. They needed a minister, so I called my father to see if he could perform the ceremony. He was happy to help a serviceman, so he and my mother drove to Macon from Eatonton. The wedding was held at the
1842 Inn, which is an excellent venue for an intimate wedding.
We drove to Savannah, GA on Friday for Jennifer and Johnathan's wedding at The Whitfield Chapel on the campus of the
Bethesda Home for Boys. I shot the rehearsal on Friday night, then Bene' and I shot the wedding together on Saturday.

We didn't get to sleep in Sunday morning because the
Macon's Wedding Ring fall bridal show was that afternoon and we had a long drive to make it on time. I-16 from Savannah to Macon seems like the longest stretch of highway in existence when you are racing the clock. We did the bridal show between photographing the wedding in Savannah and getting to our house in Locust Grove. We had left our furnishings and samples for our display at a friend's place in Macon to save us from driving all the way home then back to Macon. (Thanks
Neal.)
It looks like I will be making a portrait for a new advertising client on Monday or Tuesday.
